Delicious
A survey our of DWRL members revealed that they prefer to receive information via Twitter or webpage versus email or newsletter. The Digital Writing and Research Lab’s Delicious page serves as a central repository for links to relevant resources, including professionalization opportunities like journals and conferences, pedagogy ideas like lesson plans and classroom-adaptable technologies, as well as resources for keeping abreast of current projects and issues in the field, such as links to blogs and research organizations. It provides a place for DWRL members to look for guidance and inspiration and helps position us as a valuable and up-to-date resource for our colleagues in the field.

Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy
The mission of the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy is to promote open scholarly discourse around critical and creative uses of digital technology in teaching, learning, and research. Educational institutions have often embraced instrumentalist conceptions and market-driven implementations of technology that overdetermine its uses in academic environments. Such approaches underestimate the need for critical engagement with the integration of technological tools into pedagogical practice. The JITP will endeavor to counter these trends by recentering questions of pedagogy in our discussions of technology in higher education. The journal will also work to change what counts as scholarship — and how it is presented, disseminated, and reviewed — by allowing contributors to develop their ideas, publish their work, and engage their readers using multiple formats.

Tag structure
We have established a tagging system based on subject, type of resource, and potential uses. The system currently also includes tags that communicate pertinence for the DWRL’s core conversations. In order to keep the tagging approach consistent, only a few members of the EN group have editing privileges for the Delicious page, though we think there may be opportunities for the page to be opened for a broader collaborative effort in the future.
